Turner FieldTurner Field. Originally built as an 85,000–seat Olympic stadium, Turner Field was first the home of the 1996 Centennial Summer Olympics. After the Olympics, the stadium received a multimillion–dollar renovation to convert it into a 45,000–seat baseball park complete with nostalgic architecture and state–of–the–art concessions and facilities. Philips Arena. Completed in 1999, the Philips Arena is home to the Atlanta Hawks basketball team and the Atlanta Thrashers hockey team. The arena seats up to 20,300 and it includes 96 luxury suites and 2,100 club seats. The unique layout of the arena seating sets the club seats and luxury boxes along one side of the playing surface and the general admission seating along the other three sides which offers the best views for every fan, no matter where they are seated.
