Georgia World Congress CenterGeorgia World Congress Center. As the major convention facility in Atlanta, the Georgia World Congress Center is the fourth–largest convention center in the U.S. Opened in 1976, the Center hosts more than a million visitors in twelve exhibit halls, 105 meeting rooms, and two ballrooms each year. The King Center. Established in 1968 by Coretta Scott King, The King Center is an official memorial dedicated to the leader of America’s greatest nonviolent movement for justice, equality and peace. Fox Theatre. The Fox Theatre was originally designed in the late 1920's as the headquarters for Atlanta’s 5,000–member Shriners organization. A spectacular blend of Moorish and Egyptian style, this mosque–like structure is complete with minarets, onion domes, and an interior décor which is even more lavish than its facade. The 4,678–seat auditorium replicates an Arabian courtyard, complete with a night sky of 96 stars and a projection of slowly drifting clouds.
